NLC Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification for NLC:

1. Junior Overman (Trainee) –1. Diploma in Mining or Mining engineering or other equivalent Educational Qualification approved by the Central Government in that regard.and2. Valid Overman’s Certificate of Competency from DGMS under Coal Mines Regulation 2017 or any certificate in Mining which entitles to work as Overman as per Coal Mines Regulation 2017 and3. Valid First Aid Certificate.

2. Mining Sirdar (Selection Grade-I) –1. Diploma or Degree in any subject other than Mining Engineering and2. Mining Sirdar Certificate of Competency issued by DGMS and3. Valid First Aid Certificate.(or)1. DGMS issued a Mining Diploma with an Overman Competency Certificate. and2. Valid First Aid Certificate.

Age Limit for NLC: (As on 01.04.2025)

1. Junior Overman (Trainee) – 30 Years 

2. Mining Sirdar (Selection Grade-I) – 30 Years 

Relaxation of Upper age limit:

For SC/ ST Applicants: 5 years

For OBC Applicants: 3 years
